Nursing Care Services

Many caregivers lack professional training and are unable to provide round-the-clock care for patients or the elderly. Hospitalization plans also struggle to closely monitor the progress of each individual in recovery. Home nursing services can reduce the discomfort of patients or the elderly in unfamiliar environments and save caregivers the time and effort of traveling between hospitals and homes.
CARE U will prioritize the most pressing support points for patients or the elderly based on their individual circumstances. These may include wound care, mobility assistance, medical support, discharge services, and escort service.
Escort is not just for accompanying patients to hospitals. Each escort at CARE U has received relevant professional training and possesses comprehensive professional knowledge. Escort act as caregivers for clients outside the home. In cases where unexpected situations arise during travel and there are no medical assistance devices available, escort rely on their own professional knowledge to make immediate judgments, assess the needs of patients or the elderly, and take appropriate action promptly. Due to the need to address multiple aspects of caregiving, escort with professional qualifications are even more essential.

Furthermore, even with a foreign domestic helper at home, there may be limitations in verbal communication, and they may not accurately convey instructions from doctors, therapists, and pharmacists. Therefore, professional escort are needed to assist in such cases.

The fee for home care services for the elderly is typically charged on an hourly basis. This may include additional charges for nightshift or public holidays, and the price also depends on the qualifications of the required care worker. Learn more

We suggest making an initial selection based on the services outlined above. For example, consider whether the elderly individual requires wound care by a professional health worker, whether nasogastric tube feeding is needed, the extent of limitations in personal activities, and the level of self-care ability. If you have questions or are unsure which elderly care service is more suitable, you can also contact CARE U directly for a free consultation.
Elderly care services are typically charged on an hourly basis, starting from a minimum of 2 hours. The scheduling of services usually accommodates the departure time of family members or caregivers from home or the need to arrange services. Generally, daytime elderly healthcare personnel do not provide overnight or live-in services. Elderly care services are mostly available from around 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM. However, CARE U services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and we are ready to assist you in arranging services at any time.
If you are using elderly care services, to ensure the safety of the elderly, healthcare personnel will not provide additional cleaning services, purchase groceries and supplies, or cook for individuals other than the elderly or patients receiving services. If needed, we suggest you consider using domestic helper services separately.
We recommend contacting us as early as possible and providing information about the patient’s or elderly person’s condition, physical health, support needs, and preferences so that we can arrange the most comprehensive and caring nursing plan for you.
When reviewing each healthcare personnel, we require them to have relevant training and certification. You can inquire about the healthcare personnel’s qualifications and certificates to ensure peace of mind when using our services.
Yes, you can. Just contact CARE U in advance, and we will match you with the most healthcare personnel for your case.

Community Care Service Voucher Scheme for the Elderly (CCSV)

Elderly individuals who have been assessed under the ” Standardised Care Need Assessment Mechanism for Elderly Services ” as suitable for either community care services or residential care services and are currently on the “Central Waiting List for Subsidised Long Term Care Services” (Central Waiting List) without having received any residential care services or subsidized community care services, are eligible to apply.
The Social Welfare Department conducts a means test based on the household income of the elderly. There are six levels of co-payment, which are 5%, 8%, 12%, 16%, 25%, and 40% of the value of the service package, respectively. If the applicant chooses not to disclose their household income, they will be required to pay the maximum co-payment amount (40% of the value of the service package), and the assets of the elderly household are not counted.
All eligible CCSV holders can receive subsidies from the Social Welfare Department for using services, with CCSV holders only needing to pay 5% to 40% of the value of the service package. Taking a service package value of $4,372 as an example, CCSV holders only need to pay $219 to $1,749. For instance, if the fee for one hour of physical therapy is $963, and the co-payment level for the community voucher is 8%, CCSV holders would only need to pay $77 for one hour of physical therapy service.
Elderly individuals holding the CCSV can choose from a range of services, including rehabilitation exercises, home-based services, escort services, day-to-home care, and personal care services. These services can be tailored to the needs of the elderly, with a personalized care plan established after a social worker’s home visit.
CCSV holders can purchase services from up to two recognized service providers within the same month. If services have already been provided by two recognized service providers to the CCSV holder in the same month, and the CCSV holder wishes to switch to another recognized service provider, the new recognized service provider and service package can only take effect in the following month at the earliest.
CCSV holders can withdraw from the CCSV scheme at any time, but the co-payment amount already paid for the current month will not be refunded. CCSV holders, their family members, or caregivers can inform the Social Welfare Department’s Community Care Service Voucher Office of their withdrawal either independently or through the CCSV holder’s case service unit.

Post-natal Care Services

The responsibilities of a doula depend on the specific needs of the employer. They typically include caring for the newborn, such as changing diapers, feeding, cleaning the umbilical cord, washing baby clothes, cleaning and sterilizing milk bottles, and giving the baby a bath. Additionally, doula also attend to the needs of the postpartum mothers, including meal preparation, preparing nourishing soups, making ginger vinegar stew, assisting with breast-feeding, and providing emotional support for the mother postpartum. They also share infant care tips and techniques with new parents and family members.
The service period for a doula is agreed upon by the employer and themselves, depending on the specific needs of different postpartum mothers. Typically, the service period for a post-natal care worker is either 22 days (working 5 days a week) or 26 days (working 6 days a week), with working hours ranging from 8 to 24 hours per day. Special arrangements can also be made based on the employer’s requirements.

The fees for doula care services of CARE U are transparent pricing with no hidden fees. For detailed information, you can refer to the post-natal care services fee schedule.

Each doula has different experiences and areas of expertise. First-time mothers may seek more guidance and advice from caregivers as they may be unsure about preparations. In contrast, mothers expecting their second child may already have some experience and prefer a post-natal care worker who can adapt to their and their family’s needs. Therefore, when selecting a doula, it’s essential to consider not only their experience but also their personality and expertise to ensure they align with your needs. While older doula may have more experience, professionalism varies among individuals, regardless of age.
