Frequently Asked Questions

The responsibilities of a doula depend on the specific needs of the employer. They typically include caring for the newborn, such as changing diapers, feeding, cleaning the umbilical cord, washing baby clothes, cleaning and sterilizing milk bottles, and giving the baby a bath. Additionally, doula also attend to the needs of the postpartum mothers, including meal preparation, preparing nourishing soups, making ginger vinegar stew, assisting with breast-feeding, and providing emotional support for the mother postpartum. They also share infant care tips and techniques with new parents and family members.
The service period for a doula is agreed upon by the employer and themselves, depending on the specific needs of different postpartum mothers. Typically, the service period for a post-natal care worker is either 22 days (working 5 days a week) or 26 days (working 6 days a week), with working hours ranging from 8 to 24 hours per day. Special arrangements can also be made based on the employer’s requirements.

The fees for doula care services of CARE U are transparent pricing with no hidden fees. For detailed information, you can refer to the post-natal care services fee schedule.

Each doula has different experiences and areas of expertise. First-time mothers may seek more guidance and advice from caregivers as they may be unsure about preparations. In contrast, mothers expecting their second child may already have some experience and prefer a post-natal care worker who can adapt to their and their family’s needs. Therefore, when selecting a doula, it’s essential to consider not only their experience but also their personality and expertise to ensure they align with your needs. While older doula may have more experience, professionalism varies among individuals, regardless of age.
